About FIDIC
FIDIC, the International Federation of Consulting Engineers, is the global representative body for national associations of consulting engineers and represents over one million engineering professionals and 40,000 firms in more than 100 countries worldwide. The buildings and infrastructure sector in which FIDIC members work contributes approximately US$36trillion to global GDP.
FIDIC acronym stands for the French version of the name -Fédération Internationale des Ingénieurs-Conseils.

Federation Governance
FIDIC activities are carried out by Committees and Task Forces appointed by the FIDIC Board and mainly composed of volunteers. The Board is elected by the General Assembly to carry out strategic decisions related to the work of the Federation. Members propose to the General Assembly for election each year a President currently Alain Bentéjac, France; a President Elect currently William Howard, USA; a Vice President Anthony Barry, Australia; and a Treasurer currently Bernd Kordes, Germany.
