Course overview
This FIDIC Claims and Disputes Course will bring you the necessary detailed knowledge and insights as to the claim management and dispute resolution provisions under the FIDIC Conditions of Contract, namely FIDIC Red & Yellow Book Contracts.
Who should attend
This training course is specifically designed for those involved in the administration of FIDIC Contracts, either acting as Employer, Engineer, Contractor, consultant/advisor (claim consultant, legal advisor, etc.), and wishing to increase their knowledge and benefit from practical insights as to the claim management & dispute resolution mechanisms under FIDIC Conditions of Contract.
Admission criteria
Having attended FIDIC Contracts Introductory Course or having previous practical knowledge of FIDIC contracts is recommended. This online course requires a good level of English and access to a computer with an internet connection.
Learning outcomes
This online training course will allow you to:
- Thoroughly understand the claim & dispute resolution procedures under FIDIC 2017 Conditions of Contract (Reprinted 2022 with amendments)
- Get the necessary knowledge about the main differences between 1999 and 2017 Red & Yellow Books (Reprinted 2022 with amendments)
- Be aware of practical issues encountered on projects as to claims and disputes, and how to address those
- Learn from recent FIDIC case law and other authorities as to claims & dispute matters
- Benefit from practical/hands-on feedback and insights from an experienced FIDIC practitioner

The course is comprised of 9 sessions of approximately 2 hours duration each.

Official FIDIC certificate
A Certificate of Completion will be provided by FIDIC to the participants having attended all events/sessions either live or recorded and having responded to all of the assignments on the FIDIC Academy eLearning platform. The participants who do not meet this requirement will not receive a certificate.
Content on eLearning platform
Participants will have access to the recordings and learning material for 3 months after the course end date.
