Short summary experiences
I have 25 years experience working for a UK based International Contractor, over that period I worked on projects in 30 different countries. The most significant of these projects were new airports in Hong Kong and Pakistan. Both of these projects moved to Arbitration disputes. The new Airport in Islamabad Pakistan is an ongoing Arbitration based on FIDIC Red Book 1987 edition heavily amended. Both of these arbitration processes I was the referring party and instructing the legal and expert teams._x000D_

Over the same period I worked on projects in 12 different Islands in the Caribbean region that included large airport and road projects. In Jamaica we completed more than 300km of road projects over a ten year period, the North Coast Highway project resulted in commencement of Arbitration proceedings, during the process a mediation took place that resolved the dispute before the arbitration reached the hearing stage._x000D_

A road project in St Lucia also progressed to dispute stage and after the issuing of Arbitration proceedings a mediation process was adopted that resolved the dispute after several mediation hearings. The project had significant design issues and resulted in many variations that caused delay and disruption to the contract works._x000D_

The new airport in Montserrat had a dispute decided in a mediation process surrounding the design responsibility for a 50m high reinforced earth embankment to withstand an earthquake or volcanic eruption._x000D_

From 2017 I have been concentrating on providing dispute resolution services as an Arbitrator, Adjudicator and Expert witness. I provided Quantum Expert services on behalf of the insurers in a defective design case involving the collapse of stand at an International football stadium. This included several hearings and joint Expert meetings with the opposing Experts to narrow the issues for the Court._x000D_
