The shortlist has been unveiled for the 2020 FIDIC Contracts Awards. The awards, which were launched last year, aim to recognise excellence in the use of FIDIC contract forms for project delivery and showcase examples of good practice through collaboration from across the world.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it was more challenging than usual to attract entries for the awards but, despite this, there is a strong shortlist in three categories - Project of the Year Award, Legal or Professional Services of the Year Award and Trainer of the Year Award.

This year, as a result of the restrictions brought about by the pandemic, the awards ceremony is taking place online, with the winners being announced at a virtual event on Tuesday 1 December 2020 at 4.45pm UK time as part of FIDIC's annual International Contract Users' Conference.

The shortlist for the 2020 FIDIC Contracts Awards is as follows: -

Commenting on the announcement of the awards shortlist, FIDIC chief executive Dr Nelson Ogunshakin said: “The first year of our FIDIC Contracts Awards in 2019 was a success in raising the profile of FIDIC contracts and those who use them and I look forward to this year’s awards further uniting the global contract user community and celebrating excellence and good practice.”

The awards will be presented as part of the FIDIC International Contract Users' Conference which takes place online on 1-3 December 2020.
