Expression of Interest for FIDIC Legal Advisory Group
FIDIC is expanding its legal advisory group and invites legal practitioners, in-house counsels, legally qualified independent dispute resolvers and academics from various jurisdictions with international project experience and expertise in FIDIC and wider engineering and infrastructure construction contracts to apply.
The role of the FIDIC Legal Advisory Group is to ensure through its advice to FIDIC, to its Contracts Committee and task groups that the FIDIC document produced is compliant with general legal principles, is legally sound and accurate and not prone to give rise to detrimental legal difficulties when applied in different legal systems across the world.
Group of Legal Advisors shall comprise legally qualified individuals represented from various jurisdictions of construction industry, recognized for their expertise in the use of FIDIC Contracts, for their active contribution to the FIDIC community through conferences, articles, or other inputs for FIDIC, and/or for their legal expertise in the subject matter(s) covered by FIDIC documents. FIDIC General Counsel shall act as standing member of the group.
