All eyes will be on Cape Town, South Africa, in September as the city hosts the 2025 FIDIC Global Infrastructure Conference from 21-23 September.
Based around the topical theme of Smart Infrastructure: Equality, Resilience and Innovation for a Sustainable World, the conference will take place against a background of the infrastructure sector continuing to be in the global spotlight, as world governments look on investments in their national social and physical infrastructure as being crucial to delivering on their economic plans over the years ahead.
It is fitting that FIDIC’s 2025 annual event is taking is being hosted in Cape Town, as the G20 presidency is handed over to South Africa this year. With a theme for the year around fostering solidarity, equality and sustainable development, there really is no better time or place for the infrastructure sector to meet and demonstrate its excellence, integrity and significance in shaping a better tomorrow for all.
Previous conferences have explored the many aspects of how the infrastructure delivers a sustainable world and this 2025 global gathering is set to be attended by the wider infrastructure industry, including clients, governments, politicians, contractors, lawyers, financiers and architects to name but a few.
