FIDIC’s webinar programme for 2025 contains a wide range of online events on key issues of interest to global engineering, construction and infrastructure professionals.
Last year’s webinar series saw thousands of global professionals attending a range of insightful events and the 2025 programme promises to be similarly attractive, with a full programme of events running from March all the way to December. Once again, FIDIC’s committees and advisory councils have played a key role in organising the webinars, which cover key issues of interest to the global engineering, construction and infrastructure sector and as ever, all events are free to attend.
The 2024 programme kicks off on 18 March with a webinar organised by FIDIC’s International Financial Institutions Committee which will take a closer look at a topical issue of interest to consulting engineering firms with regard to their dealings with the international financial institutions and multilateral development banks. This is followed by an event on 1 April organised by the FIDIC Future Leaders Advisory Council taking a deeper dive into some of the issues around sustainable infrastructure and sustainability in engineering companies. Given that members of the council are up and coming young professionals with strong views on the future of the industry, an interesting and thought-provoking event is in store.
On 29 April, a webinar organised by the FIDIC Business Practice Leadership Committee will look at a business practice or innovation issue that is relevant to the way in which consultancy and engineering firms conduct their businesses and 3 June sees an event from the FIDIC Digital Transformation Committee looking at a topical issue around the issue of the fast-moving area of digital and technological change in the engineering, construction and infrastructure sector.
Later that month, on 24 June, the FIDIC Directors and Secretaries Advisory Council will host a webinar highlighting some of the successful initiatives being undertaken by FIDIC’s global member associations which are making a positive difference to member firms in their local area and the wider industry. This webinar will highlight some of the best practice success stories of FIDIC member associations and how these have benefited MA member firms and the wider industry, giving attendees the opportunity to learn from these best practice initiatives and how they were undertaken to take these learnings back into their own MAs. The day after this webinar, on 25 June, FIDIC will launch its latest State of the World report on a key industry issue.
On 2 September, the FIDIC Contracts Committee will give an update on the latest developments and trends around FIDIC contracts and what users need to be aware of at the present time. Attendees at what is sure to be a well-attended webinar will get a unique insight into how these market leading documents are being used and will also receive inside information about new contracts in the pipeline. On 23 October, FIDIC will launch another of its State of the World reports on a key issue of interest to the consultancy and engineering sector providing an exclusive first look at the industry’s current landscape and future trends.
A sustainable development webinar on 28 October, organised by FIDIC’s Sustainable Development Committee, will be looking at current developments in the sustainability and net zero arena and how these are affecting the engineering, construction and infrastructure sector. With a focus on some of the current initiatives being undertaken by FIDIC’s Sustainable Development Committee, this webinar is sure to be a must-attend for all consultancy and engineering firms.
Tuesday 11 November will see FIDIC’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Advisory Council hosting a webinar that will highlight key issues of interest to consulting engineering firms in the area of ED&I and equality issues. The 2025 programme of webinars concludes on 9 December with the now annual event organised by the FIDIC Integrity Management Committee to coincide with the United Nations’ International Anti-Corruption Day. This webinar is the latest in FIDIC’s highly successful and popular series of events on the importance of combatting and ultimately eradicating corruption from the engineering, construction and infrastructure sector. The webinar will pick up on some of the key themes of this year’s campaign day as well as highlighting the urgent need for an industry-wide collaborative approach to tackling the scourge of corruption.
