FIDIC is pleased to announce the successful conclusion of the annual in-person meeting of its contracts committee (CC), held in Switzerland, where members convened to advance the FIDIC suite of contracts, the standard forms trusted by infrastructure professionals in more than 100 countries.

Members worked through a comprehensive agenda covering the full breadth of the committee's activities, from updates across FIDIC's family of contracts and guidance documents to the work of the many task groups that develop and refine them. The programme spanned the committee's engagement on agreements, subcontracts and specialist forms, alongside cross-cutting themes such as collaborative contracting, sustainability and carbon management and support for practitioners applying FIDIC contracts in the field.

The meeting also reflected the committee's close cooperation with the wider infrastructure ecosystem, including FIDIC's other committees and its relationships with international financing institutions and other global bodies. Discussions touched on the continued translation of FIDIC contracts into additional languages and the broader effort to keep the suite coherent and consistent as it evolves to meet the needs of a changing industry. FIDIC also welcomed a new member to the committee.

The contracts committee brings together engineering, legal and contracts experts from around the world, reflecting the global community that relies on FIDIC standards. FIDIC thanked all participants for the expertise and continued commitment to excellence that underpin its contracts.

There will be a further opportunity to meet the people behind the FIDIC contracts later this year. Many CC members will take part in FIDIC's International Contract Users' Conference in London this December, where delegates can hear directly from the committee and join the conversation on the application and future of FIDIC contracts.
