FIDIC is reaching out to its global stakeholders to enlist their help as it starts to develop a new strategic plan for the organisation.

As the groundwork and research gets underway to develop its new strategy to cover the period 2025 to 2029, FIDIC is working with specialist economics, data insight and public policy consultancy WPI Economics to help conduct a detailed survey of the views of its global member associations and other key stakeholders around the world.

FIDIC hopes that by involving these key stakeholders in the development of its new strategic plan, the end result will be a more relevant, dynamic and up-to-date strategy that will help keep FIDIC at the forefront of representing its member associations and the global consultancy and engineering sector.

Dr Nelson Ogunshakin, FIDIC CEO, said: “FIDIC last reviewed its strategic plan in 2019 for the period 2020 to 2024 and our current plan is now due to expire. Over the past five years there has been significant change and progress both in the way FIDIC operates and the services we provide, both to our members and the wider industry.

“Our stakeholders have always played an essential role in the development of FIDIC, what we do and how we do it, so consulting them now, as we look to develop our next strategic plan, is a logical step for us to take and we hope to gather a great deal of valuable feedback to help us develop the robust and effective plan for the 2025-2029 period that we need to take us forward. I’d encourage all our stakeholders to take part in the survey to give us the information that we need to help deliver the best possible plan for FIDIC, which will also help support our industry over the coming years.”

The WPI Economics survey can be completed online and will take around 15 minutes to complete. The survey is being conducted, analysed and results presented independently to the FIDIC board by WPI Economics. No individuals will be identified to FIDIC.
